Star Army Commissions ProjectThat's why I, with the help of donations from other members of the Star Army Role-playing Community, have created the Star Army Commissions Project. The commissions project is a list ( hosted here [link] ) that any Star Army Role-Player can add his/her character to. Characters on the list get assigned to various good-quality artists, primarily on DeviantART, who Star Army will pay to draw their characters.
Artists benefit because they get practice and get paid. Star Army benefits because the website gets more colorful and interesting as new art is added. Star Army's role-players benefit because now they have an image to go with their character bios. Plus, the project spurs the drawing of original characters rather than fanart.

thanks for your reply in my thread on the DA forum in the job services section. In answer to your questions:
I would try anything you have the guts to throw at me
it would be 2D work, a digital render/artwork.
and the commissioner would indeed get full copyrights to the work after payment has been received.
